Summary

Position Summary

  • Provides day to day supervision to the pre-analytic laboratory team for both operations and human resources management. Accountable for scheduling and work distribution. Provides technical direction, develops, monitors, and takes appropriate action to improve overall departmental quality, as outlined by performance standards. Ensures training and competency assessments are completed. May perform pre-analytic functions when needed.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Certification as a Phlebotomist and/or Medical Laboratory Assistant required (ASCP, ASPT, AMT, NPA, NCC, NHA). Valid Driver's License Required.
  • Experience: 1 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant required, previous Lead or Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Required night shift hours: Must be able to work night shift hours (11:00pm to 7:00am).
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint required
