Pen Bay Medical Center, an accredited tier-three hospital offering state-of-the-art cancer care and the region’s only Stroke Center, is just a few minutes’ drive from Quarry Hill.
  • Quarry Hill is seeking a Carpenter/Painter to join their team!

  • Position Summary This position consists of 40 hours per week.
    • Ensures a safe and secure environment for the Residents, Staff, Visitors, and property of CHCC/ Anderson Inn/ Quarry Hill in compliance with all Federal and State regulations; responsible for inspecting and reporting equipment failure, security breaches and environmental issues, performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned, and specific carpentry projects assigned to maintain and enhance the Quarry Hill campus.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred. Vocational education, with 1-3 years experience in carpentry and/or building trades related to rough or finish carpentry, is also preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Will have valid Maine Driver's License, be insurable, and pass a background/security check.
    • Experience: See "Education"
    • Must demonstrate working knowledge of building plans and blueprints, the ability to layout and execute projects in accordance with codes and regulations, proper selection and joinery of materials using hand and power tools, and good working knowledge of both rough and finish carpentry.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with Staff, Residents, Supervision, and Visitors and to apply information given or received into an action plan.
    • Ability to budget time and resources to complete assigned tasks, and to communicate any needs or requirements in timely fashion to the Plant Operations Director.
    • Ability to perform all other general maintenance functions as may be assigned.
