Job/Internship Description

Brown and Caldwell, a nationwide environmental engineering and construction firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern. BIM is the process of developing a 3D model with embedded engineering data and calculations, and BC is looking to develop a library with complex computational BIM components. You will partner with our BIM experts to build out our computational 3D component library for water and wastewater treatment plant design projects. These positions can be located in our Boise, ID office.

Detailed Description:

Brown and Caldwell, a nationwide environmental engineering and construction firm, has an exciting opportunity for several Building Information Modeling (BIM) Interns. BIM is the process of developing a 3D model with embedded engineering data and calculations, and BC is looking to develop a library with complex computational BIM components. You will partner with our BIM experts to build out our computational 3D component library for water and wastewater treatment plant design projects. These positions can be located in our Denver, CO or Boise, ID office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Help to build and maintain a library of enterprise reusable BIM Content
  • Build individual computational/parametric BIM components in Revit
  • Create templates for typical Revit projects
  • Create environmental engineering unit process components as a collection of nested parametric families in Revit

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • College student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Revit and/or Graphical Programming a plus but not required
  • Passion for learning new things and diving into challenging problems
  • Excellent communicator and solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated self-starter and team player
