Job Description

What you will do

  • Identify opportunities for leveraging cloud technologies to improve operational efficiency, scalability and cost-effectiveness

  • Drive organizations cloud strategy with emerging cloud trends, advancements and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement

  • Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based solutions

  • Define and enforce cloud solution development standards, patterns and frameworks

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural principles

  • Determine the most suitable cloud services and technologies based on business needs, performance requirements and cost considerations

  • Develop and implement robust security measures and strategies for risk mitigation in cloud environments

  • Integrate cloud solutions with existing infrastructure, legacy systems and third party services

  • Lead and facilitate workshops, training sessions and knowledge sharing activities related to cloud solutions

  • Manage the design, build and deployment of high quality, reliable, reusable solutions to enable the development and hosting of fit for purpose products

  • Provide technical expertise to product and platform solution design, and work across product teams as part of the discovery process to foster a culture of collaboration and ensure optimum service delivery

What you bring

  • Extensive experience in designing, architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS,Azure or GCP including deep understanding of their services and capabilities

  • Proven experience in cloud solution architecture and cloud service evaluation

  • In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, practices and compliance standards

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security standard processes, and performance optimization

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing and maintaining DevOps processes and infrastructure

  • Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools (e.g. Jenkins/Github )

  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code and automation tools & framework(Terraform, Helm, Puppet)

  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)

  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new technology stacks and methodologies

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or 7+ years of equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Reliability Engineering/Systems Engineering/DevOps role is required

  • 4+ years of experience in development toolchains and cloud infrastructure

  • 4+ years of experience with provisioning infrastructure through IAC (preferably Terraform) and cloud automation principles

  • 2+ years of experience in designing solutions on High trust/PCI compliant cloud data platform

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with container technology including Kubernetes and Docker

  • Experience in secrets management solution (KMS/HSMs/Hashicorp Vault)

  • Experience building robust automated logging, monitoring, and alerting systems with tools such as Splunk, NewRelic, CloudWatch etc.

  • Experience using AWS/Snowflake features for improving developer productivity and experience

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $129.000,00 - $172.000,00
