Supports all areas within organization for decontamination and instrument processing; participation in the distrubution of instrumentation and specified equipment. Behaves in a professional customer-focused, service-oriented manner. Facilitates a team oriented attitude, will participate in on call duties with a response time of one hour.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High School Diploma preferred. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation. Preferred medical terminology.
License/Certifications: Current certification as a CRCST with the international Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or certification within 24 months of being employed in a benefited position with the organization.
Experience: Desirable in any of the following areas: Central Processing, Surgical Technician, Nursing Assistant.
Able to perform duties independently following standards practices and procedures
Ability to retain diverse detailed technical information.
Ability to perform in a dynamic environment.
