Job Description

Summary

Experienced Surgical Technologists are eligible for a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus with CVOR experience!

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus for those without CVOR experience

Relocation for Approved Offers

Eligible candidates are Certified Surgical Technologists.

Previous MMC and MaineHealth employees with more than 3 months of separation are eligible.

Current MMC and MaineHealth employees are not eligible.

  • Position Summary
    • Position is responsible for assisting in surgical operations as part of a team under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Assisting program.
    • License/Certifications: CST - Current certification. Current BLS certification.
    • Experience: Two years' assisting experience preferred with documentation of training/expertise provided.
    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, professional ethics, and medical terminology.
    • Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement protocols.
    • Skill in operating surgical equipment including both sterile and non-sterile equipment.
