For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $20,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Respiratory Therapist
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PT position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Position Summary

- Under the direction of a pharmacist, provides technical support in obtaining, verifying for accuracy, and recording initial medication histories from patients &/or their designated family/caregivers upon admission to Mid Coast Hospital. Includes conducting patient &/or family interviews focused on obtaining current medication regimens including prescription and over-the-counter (non-prescription) medications, as well as vitamin and herbal supplements.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: Licensed as a technician by the State of Maine. CPhT preferred.
- Experience: N/A.
- The use of good time management skills is required. The ability to organize, plan, prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely, accurate manner is essential, especially under some stress. Problem solving and judgement based on prior experience or knowledge of policy and procedure is required.
- The Medication History Technician demonstrates outstanding critical thinking and decision making skills. He or she understands the limits of a non-pharmacist staff worker, and is able to direct specific questions to the pharmacist.
