Summary

Are you a Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to grow your career in a leadership position? Maine Medical Partners' Endocrinology & Diabetes practice is looking for an RN Clinical Manager to lead their Scarborough and Lewiston, Maine ambulatory practices. The majority of the time and home base for this position is Scarborough.

The candidate we're seeking has been in the nursing field for a minimum of 5 years and, ideally, has previous supervisory experience. A BSN is required for this position. Although Endocrinology & Diabetes experience is preferred, all clinical experience will be considered. Knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission practices is a plus!

The nurse selected for this position will enter a busy practice that offers work/life balance with no call commitment. You'll enhance the patient experience by recommending workflow process improvements, overseeing the Infusion Room, and leading a team-oriented clinical staff to successfully do their best work. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position.

  • Position Summary
    • The Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of the clinical department, including clinical services and staffing needs. The Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating the clinical work flow in order to provide the most efficient, effective, safe and comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Manager will work with physicians, midlevel providers and clinical staff to increase the volume of clinical outpatient services, referral process, patient flow, and maximize the productivity of each practice location.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: BSN required.
    • License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.
    • Experience: Five years of experience in the nursing field. Supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Experience working with computers.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and standards, medical procedures, tests, and clinical/clerical skills necessary to perform all functions and assist physicians. Knowledge of pharmacology is desirable.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.
    • Analytical ability sufficient to identify patients at risk and initiate appropriate action.
    • Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families, and to plan strategies for managing these situations when they arise.
    • Analytical ability required gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
