Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager this role provides clerical support to the unit including but not limited to ensuring medical records are complete and accurate, answering telephone calls, and responding to patient, family, and staff requests. This role supports Unit R7, Cardiac Telemetry.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Ability to read, write and speak English in order to follow simple oral or written instructions and complete standard forms.
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information and maintain courteous relationships with patients, families, visitors, and Maine Medical Center employees.
    • Knowledge of policies, procedures and organizational structure of the unit, Department of Nursing, and Maine Medical Center.
    • Participates in ongoing education relative to the role as defined.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
