Your Role:
The Clinical Educator contributes to education and professional development needs as part of a Regional Education Team. This position provides a variety of education and learning experiences including onboarding nursing team members, New Nurse Residency Program, hi-fidelity simulation learning experiences, CNA and MA entry level training, and more. The ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team working with department-based/unit-based educators and others to fulfill the strategic goals of the region.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
    2. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine RN license is required.
    3. Experience: Minimum of five years' acute care experience is required.
    4. Demonstrated high knowledge level in nursing process and adult learning principles
    5. Demonstrated high knowledge of critical thinking skills
    6. Demonstrated high knowledge of Federal, State and all other regulatory agencies regarding education and practice standards for healthcare
    7. Ability to collaborate with all healthcare disciplines
    8. Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates:
      • Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice and Patient and Family Centered Care
      • Understanding of teamwork and collaboration
      • Effective verbal/written communication skills
      • Knowledge of process improvement and sound safety strategies
      • Competence with computer applications
