Summary

Position Summary:

The RN of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program exercises independent judgment in the direction, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provide for outpatients receiving Phase II and Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation services. In addition to providing direct patient care, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, including supervision of CNAs in the absence of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Director. This position works effectively and cooperatively with the medical staff, Cardiac Rehabilitation Medical Director, Nursing Staff, House Supervisors, Administration, support and ancillary services personnel to ensure safe, quality Cardiac Rehabilitation Services. Other duties may be required as determined by circumstance or as delegated by Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Director.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
    2. License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification. As required by department, including Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women.
    3. Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.
