Job Description

We are seeking a customer-obsessed, strategic, and data-centric Manager of Software Sales with a passion for building and scaling high-performing inside sales teams. Reporting to the VP of Software Sales, you will lead the demand generation, sales development, and inside sales teams with a focus on generating and converting leads to drive revenue growth. This pivotal role will shape our sales strategy, ensure performance excellence, and foster collaboration across regions.

In the role of Veterinary Software Sales Manager:

Sales Leadership:

  • You will lead, coach, and inspire a team that is based in both the United States and Auckland, NZ- inside software sales team to exceed revenue targets.
  • You will establish a solid operating cadence, emphasizing pipeline, forecasting, deal review, sales execution, deployment, and revenue realization at both team and individual levels.

Sales Target Achievement:

  • You will take ownership of revenue targets and drive the sales team to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • You will monitor sales metrics, review performance data, and take corrective actions as necessary to stay on track.
  • You will provide onsite leadership and support for team success.
  • You will drive digital demand generation, developing and executing strategies to generate demand and increase brand awareness.
  • You will manage the Sales Development Representatives (SDR) team for lead qualification, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads to the sales team.
  • You will maintain and grow a sales pipeline to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • You will build strong relationships with the global Software and Diagnostic Sales Teams.
  • You will collaborate closely with all functional areas of the Software business, including marketing, product management, customer support, implementation, and customer success.
  • You will communicate plans, resolve roadblocks, and foster synergies.
  • You will build high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust.

Build Organizational Capability:

  • You will prioritize continuous development of sales capabilities within your teams.
  • You will recruit and hire top talent while providing career development and performance management to enable team members to meet or exceed quota.
  • You will maintain active development plans for each individual to promote career growth and retention.
  • You will focus on talent development and build a robust pipeline of sales talent.

Sales Enablement:

  • You will implement effective sales enablement programs, training, and tools to empower the sales team to excel in their roles.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • You will possess over 10 years of successful sales leadership, consistently building and leading high-performance teams in the software industry.
  • You will have a track record of surpassing sales KPIs, including quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • You will possess effective recruitment and leadership of professional sales teams, consistently delivering exceptional results.
  • You will have expertise in setting and managing quotas, with a documented history of exceeding targets.
  • You will possess commitment to a metrics-driven approach to sales success, backed by measurable achievements.
  • You will possess proficiency in Salesforce and other sales-oriented tracking tools, improving data-driven decision-making.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to develop and execute quarterly and annual business plans, resulting in sustained revenue growth.
  • You will have consistent accuracy in forecasting and delivering comprehensive business reports.
  • You will have had proven experience in demand generation, lead conversion, and maintaining a steady flow of high-quality leads.
  • You will have global experience with a successful track record of collaborating with international teams to achieve desired outcomes.

  • You will have a history of consistently surpassing sales KPIs, highlighting exceptional performance.
  • You will possess the ability to drive significant improvements in output, efficiency, and quality, leading to measurable business results.
