Summary

$3000 SIGN ON BONUS!!

*must be separated from Mainehealth for 3 months to be eligible**

No experience needed- all training provided!

  • Position Summary
    • Under supervision of Operating Room Manager and following established procedures, assists with the care of the patient in the Operating Room by transporting and lifting/positioning for surgery.
    • Cleaning and assisting in Operating Room turnovers and by performing general errands as required by team leader and charge nurses. Maintains general cleanliness and maintenance of the department.
    • *Opportunity for advancement to Level II after 6 months.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with two years of work experience.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: N/A
    • Ability to anticipate, prioritize and coordinate work in a high stress, fast paced environment required.
      • Involves responding to emergency situations and tight schedules
    • Read, write and understand well enough to perform duties effectively. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously with patients, co workers, diverse group of O.R. personnel and multiple nursing unit personnel.
    • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
    • Willingness to work on rotating schedule.
    • Requires 3 to 6 weeks of on the job training in order to become familiar with:
      • Physical plant and operating room procedures including
      • Principals of asepsis
      • Operation of OR beds and equipment
      • Case cart checking procedures
      • Names of surgical instruments and equipment
      • Safe handling of oxygen tanks
