We are currently seeking a Director of Professional Education to join our team!

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $20,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Your Role:

The Director of Professional Education serves as a consultant, change agent and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities. Serves as a role model while providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice for our patients' safety and wellbeing. Utilizing instructional techniques and adult and pediatric learning principles, develops and implements job aids, performance criteria, clinical competencies and interactive practical experiences to support staff development based on state regulations and identified educational needs. Serves as liaison to MaineHealth Practice Council.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• • 1. Education: BSN required, MSN or Master's degree in other related field required or obtained within 24 months.
  • 2. License/Certifications: Current and active Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. Active BCLS. Current additional certifications per department requirements.
  • 3. Experience: Previous experience as a staff development educator preferred. Five or more years of clinical nursing experience.
