Job Summary:

Directs and coordinates all activities of the facility warehouse department that includes the ESL Warehouse, Aseptic Warehouse, and Dry Warehouse. This includes, but is not limited to multiple site managers and other employees engaged in crating, moving, and storing ingredients, packaging and finished goods. Plan, direct, or coordinate the storage or warehouse operations within multiple warehouses of an organization or the activities of multiple warehouses of an organizations that are engaged in storing or distributing materials or products. This is by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers or supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspects multiple warehouse facilities and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space, and crating procedures to supervisor.
  • Purchases moving equipment such as dollies, pads, trucks, and trailers for multiple warehouses.
  • Answers inquiries on types of service offered, rates, schedules, and areas serviced.
  • Investigates customers' complaints involving such matters as damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and makes necessary adjustment.
  • Examines items to be moved, to ascertain approximate weights and type of crating required.
  • Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in warehouse practices including crating, moving, and storing ingredients, packaging and finished goods,
  • Prepares studies and analyses of warehousing use.
  • Manages and develops direct reports.
  • Adheres and promotes a safety culture that is compliance to safety regulations and policies.
  • Monitors and improves warehouse procedures to maximize warehouse effectiveness and efficiency.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree, MBA preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years manufacturing leadership experience with a focus on warehousing.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Experience in handling various audits and completing action plans for improvements.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement/optimization initiatives.

  • Advanced computer skills in preparation and delivery

  • Ability to work well with others and be TEAM focused

Experience
10 years: Manufacturing experience with a focus on warehousing. (required)
