The Database and Office Assistant supports the management of Thomas College's donor database, Raiser's Edge, and the general operations of the Advancement Office.


This position provides essential support, helping to enter and maintain gift and donor records, generate acknowledgement letters and pledge reminders, respond to general donor and alumni inquiries, and assist with general office operations. Office operation tasks include ordering office supplies, scheduling meetings for Advancement staff, and supervising the department email account.


As part of the Advancement team, this position will interact with alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and the general public. Advancement plays a key role in welcoming guests to campus, including students, alumni, families, donors, and other vital members of the Thomas community. This position must be able to handle confidential information and work as part of a team with all constituencies.


Must have comfort and experience using a relational database. Detail orientated individual possessing strong organizational skills and an emphasis on accuracy required. Strong keying and typing skills are essential, along with the ability to work productively and cohesively in a team environment. Friendly, customer-service approach is a must, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with others.


Efficiency with Microsoft Office products required. Experience with relational databases required. Four-year college degree preferred, but not required. Experience in fundraising preferred, but not required.
