Summary

Biddeford

Functions in crisis capacities to connect clients with the appropriate level of care. This individual will provide immediate triage and access to crisis assessment will be offered. The Crisis Response Worker will assist and make connections to the appropriate outpatient services when clinical and financial eligibility requirements are met.

Position Highlights:

  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $5,000, amount prorated for part-time

What you will do:

  • Determine appropriate course of action or intervention to order to resolve the crisis based on assessment of the client's mental status, current resources, current level of functioning and danger to self or other
  • Document the entire crisis intervention process according to program's policies and procedures in a complete and professional manner
  • Determine and initiate consistent and rapid crisis triage and service delivery. Communicate information to teammates as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis treatment services to individuals and families to resolve and/or stabilize crisis situations. Perform other required duties such as transportation arrangements, phone calls to referral source, make follow up calls as needed
  • Provide client/family education: explain client rights and responsibilities, intervene to help family members cope, help to locate effective support for family members within their communities, and maintain awareness of all resources available
  • Complete or maintain all documents in accordance with the Clinical Ladders policy

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

  • Education: Associates Degree in a related field from an accredited school required. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • License/Certifications: MHRT/CSP certification is required, or will be conferred within first 3 months after hire; Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience working with specific client population to which this position is primarily assigned
  • Prior experience with the chronic mentally ill population is highly desirable
