Summary

The Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence

The Outpatient Behavior Technician - Developmental Disorders will work in the outpatient clinic of the Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders to provide behavioral support to youth and adult patients. The Outpatient Behavior Technician - Developmental Disorders will also support patients with blood draws in the clinic phlebotomy station

Position Highlights:

Embark on an enlightening journey as you develop an intricate understanding of therapeutic interventions and interactions tailored for the unique diagnoses of our diverse patient population. Dive into the realm of compassionate care as you meticulously implement behavioral plans crafted specifically for developmentally challenged patients under the guidance of doctors. Experience the fulfillment of making a difference as you assist patients in mastering essential Daily Living Skills (ADLs) under the direction of our dedicated RNs. Responsibilities

  • Perform checks and document on patient's record in accordance with hospital policies
  • Work with the treatment team in the collection of pertinent data to assist in the development of individualized behavioral plans
  • Implement sensory schedules as indicated by behavioral plan
  • Observe and respond to codes and follow code leader's direction

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • License/Certifications: Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (provided by organization); Current CPR and Safety Care certification (provided by organization)
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience working with youth and/or adults with developmental disorders preferred.
