IFF has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Quality Manager supporting the RocklandMEfacility.

In this role you are responsible forsupporting deliberate improvement in Safety, Health, Environmental and Housekeeping Performance (6S).Ensure 100% compliance with assigned EHS requirements, safe completion of life-critical activities, process safety, food safety, and quality standards.Continually and deliberately identify and implement improvements in works systems, processes, and people development through driving weekly key KPIs, assigning and managing remedial actions for all adverse performance.

  • Ensure direct report developmentincludingtheir empowerment, 100% training requirement compliance, performance, and accountability.
  • Manage fixed and variable costs to department budgeted levels.
  • Ensures that finished products meet applicable regulatory, FMCandcustomer requirements.
  • Investigates and makes recommendations on appropriate site-related quality issues through records, lab experiments, professional knowledge, and experience to develop and maintain good customer relations and internal cost controls.
  • Coordinates internal and external quality testing requirements, as well as the development of new product test methods and specifications and product-related documentation.
  • Manages the plant's quality system to ensure ISO 9001 and FSSC compliance.
  • Collaborates with the Global Quality Director and other plant QMs on quality initiatives and regulatory changes.
  • Manages site customer and regulatory visits and audits in conjunction with appropriate RMT members and ensures completion of audit action items.
  • Ensures timely response to customer requests for information (questionnaires, statements, etc.)
  • Lead and support preventative and autonomous maintenance activitiesifappropriate within the area.

Required:

  • BS Degree in a Life or Chemical Science; Biology, Chemistry, or Food Science.
  • Detailed knowledge ofmanufacturing, chemistry, and applications.
  • Food microbiology knowledge (preferred).
  • Basic statistical skills (preferred).
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills (leadership, written and oral communicationskills, financial knowledge).
  • Professionalin negotiations with customers, good presentation skills
  • Minimum of threeyears in a food, chemical, or manufacturing environment
