Summary
The Senior Director Ambulatory Informatics is responsible for integrating healthcare science, computer science, and information science to participate in the analysis, planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of Ambulatory Clinical and Operational Information Systems across MaineHealth Medical Group. The Sr. Director Ambulatory Informatics has extensive knowledge as an informatics nurse/clinician, experience in the ambulatory setting and knowledge/understanding of ambulatory operations. The Sr. Director acts as internal consultant representing the MaineHealth Medical Group and partners with MHMG Leadership, Clinical and Operational stakeholders, Information Technology Services, Business/Administrative Services, Project Management, and other entities to successfully design, educate, implement, adopt, and sustain interoperability within clinical and non-clinical(operational) information systems and practice. The role will develop and oversee multiple layers of management across MHMG and develops direct reports to be highly strategic in perspective to meet the diverse and continually changing challenges of the health care environment within the Medical Group. Budgetary and financial management responsibility for function(s) with organizational impact.
The Sr. Director Ambulatory Informatics has a matrix reporting structure with direct reporting to the MHMG Chief Operating Officer and indirect reporting to the VP Ambulatory Patient Care Services, the MaineHealth CMIO and CNIO.
